October 19th will be a district wide remote learning day. What does this mean for our students? Students will learn on-line from home on that day. The remote learning day will follow your normal school start and end times. We will provide each student with a chromebook and charger to take home. Additionally, schedules will be sent home with students so parents/guardians will know when they should be logged in for each class. #wltigertales

Remote Learning
It has come to our attention that a disturbing video showing a suicide in progress is being circulated across social media platforms, primarily TikTok. If possible, please limit your children’s access to social media until companies can remove the video from their platforms. The video features a middle-aged white man with a beard and glasses sitting at a desk. If you see this, turn off or pause the video IMMEDIATELY. The suicide video can be hidden in the middle of an unrelated video, so it is possible that your child may unwittingly be exposed while exploring the site. Therefore, it is our recommendation for parents to limit access, or monitor your child's social media very closely which could include TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube, for the time being.

At last night’s board meeting, the OSBA presented a plaque to the Brophey family, in dedication to the late Mr. Thomas Brophey. The OSBA has named The Northeast Region’s Friend of Public Education Award in the honor of Thomas Brophey. Brophey will be remembered for his lifelong dedication and service to Wellsville Local Schools. #wltigertales

The Wellsville Local Schools would like to thank the Wellsville community, parents, and students/athletes who continue to comply with the mandated safety regulations such as wearing masks, social distancing, and many others during athletic events. Last night the Wellsville vs. Southern Local football game had been designated as an OHSAA monitoring site to evaluate how effectively we as a district are complying to the protocol set forth by the Ohio Department of Health, and the OHSAA. As you can see in the evaluation below we were successful at every category. We would like to give a public thank you to Don and Karen Elliott, and Jenna Stoddard for all of their hard work to ensure the safety of our fans and students. Additionally, we are so fortunate to receive guidance and support from Wes Vins and Dr. Jack Amato from the Columbiana County Health department. With out these individuals and the compliance of our entire community we would not have been able to make this work as well as we have! https://drive.google.com/…/1Q06jt3q5W80g2an6MhMkX2J2N…/view
